Key Information to Know Before the Charter
Detailed instructions and ‘what to expect’ will be included with booking confirmation emails. Important information is highlighted below:
Saltwater fishing licenses are mandatory for each guest. Guests are responsible for obtaining their individual licenses prior to departure, and a salmon conservation stamp must be attached. Licenses can be obtained in person at Gone Fishin', #3 - 2720 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, BC, or online.

Charters depart from Comox Valley Marina, 1805 Beaufort Avenue, Comox, accessible via the town’s Marina Park.

Clothes appropriate for the weather and season. Dressing in layers is advantageous as conditions can change throughout the day

Life jackets for children to ensure the best fit

Non-slip, comfortable footwear (non-marking soles are preferred)

Cancellation/No Show Policy:

In the event of a cancellation due to poor weather or other unforeseen events on our part, we reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule the charter for a mutually convenient date. The trip deposit shall be refunded in full in the event of a full cancellation.
Should guests need to cancel their charter, the deposit will be refunded in full if the trip is cancelled more than 30 days before the departure date. If cancelled within 30 days of departure, deposits will be retained in full. We are happy to work with our guests to secure an alternate charter date if possible.
